The challenge
The developer had a fixed opening date tied to an anchor tenant, but the site layout and the freight flows had been designed separately.
Our approach
We merged both into one model, resequenced the earthworks and moved the truck marshalling area, which removed a conflict with the rail spur.
The result
The hub opened on the agreed date. Truck turnaround in the first quarter was 22 percent faster than the tenant's target.
